Software Engineering Manager - Cards & Wallets

</span></p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core teams building out Adyen’s <strong>Issuing Platform</strong>. </p> <p>In this role, you won’t just manage a team; you will own the technical direction and execution of a platform that processes millions of transactions and powers our clients' global growth.

</li> <li><strong>Technical Authority and Excellence:</strong> Act as the technical leader and domain expert for the Cards &amp; Wallets platform, challenging and driving technical design and solutions to ensure an exceptionally high technical bar. </li> <li><strong>People &amp; Performance:</strong> Coach, mentor, and build a high-performing team of Backend and Mobile Engineers.

</li> <li><strong>Execution &amp; Ownership:</strong> Work closely with Product Managers to manage project timelines while proactively addressing technical debt, and enforcing best engineering practices. </li> <li><strong>Client &amp; Product Focus:</strong> Maintain a strong product mindset, deeply understanding our clients' needs, scheme interactions, and the broader market landscape.

</li> <li><strong>Domain Expertise:</strong> Experience working at an <strong>Issuer</strong> (FinTech preferred) with exposure to Card Issuing, Wallets, or Tokenization. </li> <li><strong>Technical Depth:</strong> You possess a high technical bar and in-depth knowledge of how to build and scale a world-class, API-based financial service.
