About the Role We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer (L2) to join a high-performing Managed Services team, delivering operational support across enterprise networking, security, wireless, and connectivity environments.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex network issues, supporting a diverse customer base, and contributing to service excellence within a fast-paced MSP environment.
You will work across a broad range of enterprise technologies including Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, WAN services, and SD-WAN solutions while collaborating with senior engineers on escalated incidents and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cyber Security, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in Network Support, Managed Services, or Enterprise Network Engineering.
Experience supporting enterprise networking, wireless, security, and WAN environments.
Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments or ITIL Foundation certification. Industry certifications such as Fortinet FCA/FCP, Cisco CCNA, Aruba ACMA, or equivalent are highly regarded. Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and ongoing learning. Core Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Fortinet Security Fabric including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, EMS, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.
Experience supporting Aruba, Cisco, and Meraki wireless platforms. Solid understanding of routing and switching concepts. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, VPN technologies, and WAN connectivity. Understanding of SD-WAN fundamentals. Sound knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
Experience with ITIL incident, request, and change management processes. Professional Capabilities Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality documentation. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage competing priorities. Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Collaborative team player who actively shares knowledge and supports colleagues. Modern Engineering & Preferred Skills Awareness of AI-assisted operational tools and emerging networking technologies. Exposure to automation, scripting, and process improvement initiatives. Understanding of proactive monitoring, observability, and event management.
Experience contributing to operational efficiency and continuous service improvement. Exposure to BGP, carrier services, FortiSASE, SD-WAN, Azure networking, Windows Server, Linux administration, network monitoring platforms, or automation tools will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities Manage incidents, service requests, alerts, and standard changes across customer environments. Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network, wireless, firewall, and security infrastructure. Troubleshoot network, firewall, VPN, wireless, SD-WAN, and connectivity-related issues. Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with Escalation and Senior Network Engineers during major incidents, maintenance activities, and project delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and operational excellence. Share technical knowledge with colleagues and support the development of junior engineers.
