S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on base. This position ensures that all maintenance activities meet operational, technical and quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Direct and supervise maintenance and repair activities for air‑cushion vehicles, aircraft, or shipboard mechanical systems Lead a workforce of mechanics, technicians, and inspectors to ensure safe and effective maintenance operations Provide hands‑on oversight for troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, component replacement, system testing, and post‑repair validation Develop daily, weekly, and long‑range maintenance plans, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment.

Prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs, system readiness, and safety considerations. Manage the scheduling and execution of preventative, corrective, and emergent maintenance activities.

Implement and manage maintenance quality assurance practices to ensure conformance to technical, safety, and procedural standards Apply requirements from: J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑620, NAVSEA Welding Certifications, Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures Drive improvements to maintenance processes by integrating lessons learned, inspection results, and root‑cause analyses Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance actions and compliance with established quality control systems Enforce all safety standards related to mechanical systems maintenance, tooling, equipment use, and hazardous environments Conduct worksite inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective actions to maintain a safe maintenance environment Identify risks related to equipment degradation, schedule pressures, quality concerns, or resource constraints and implement mitigation measures Provide daily supervision, coaching, and professional development for maintenance personnel.

Requirements & Qualifications Education: High School Degree Required Licenses & Certifications: Active Secret Security Clearance

S. Navy shipboard mechanical systems. At least five (5) years of concurrent experience supervising maintenance and repair of air‑cushion vehicles or aircraft.

Strong background in mechanical system troubleshooting, system-level maintenance, and operational readiness restoration Desired experience implementing and managing quality assurance programs in a maintenance environment Familiarity with the following standards and certifications is essential: J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑620, NAVSEA Welding Certifications, Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures Required experience with the Navy 3‑M Preventative Maintenance Program, including documentation, execution, and reporting requirements.

Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to lead maintenance teams in high‑tempo environments. Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
