About the opportunity: The Maintenance Officer plays an important role in keeping Launch Housing properties safe, compliant and well maintained for the people who live in them.
Working as part of the Assets team and closely with Housing Solutions colleagues, this role coordinates maintenance activity across Launch Housing’s residential property portfolio, including long-term housing, rooming houses and transitional housing.
While this vacancy has a particular focus on vacant maintenance, Maintenance Officers may work across responsive, cyclical and vacant maintenance functions to support operational needs and build broad capability across the property portfolio.
This includes assessing maintenance requests, coordinating trades and contractors, preparing scopes of work, monitoring quality and compliance, and keeping accurate records of works, costs and outcomes.
The role suits someone who is practical, organised and service-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality maintenance outcomes aligned with Launch Housing’s values and mission to end homelessness.
Permanent full-time role (76 hours per fortnight) based at Collingwood.
