Director, Strategic Partnerships
About the role
About Nebius
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
Director, Strategic Partnerships
Nebius is a full-stack AI infrastructure company — GPU cloud, storage, networking, and AI tooling — purpose-built for AI workloads. We operate our own data centres and deploy our cloud software layer at scale, combining the depth of a hardware company with the speed of a software business.
We are growing fast, and we are expanding the ways in which we grow. Alongside our owned infrastructure, we are building a programme that allows strategic partners to participate in that growth — deploying Nebius's cloud software and customer base on infrastructure they control. This role sits at the heart of that programme.
About the role
You will be the person who identifies, qualifies, and develops relationships with the capital partners and infrastructure operators who want to participate in Nebius's growth - and then converts those relationships into signed partnerships.
You are not executing deals others have found. You are the origination engine. You build the pipeline, assess whether opportunities are real, scope them with internal experts, and hand off qualified deals to a delivery team. You represent Nebius externally at the most senior levels and operate with real autonomy.
This is a programme with momentum and significant ambition. The person who takes this role will help shape how it scales.
What you'll do
- Build and develop a network of institutional capital partners, infrastructure operators, and strategic investors who are positioned to participate in AI data centre growth alongside Nebius.
- Originate partnership opportunities: identify serious prospects, assess credibility and intent, and determine whether an opportunity merits full investment of Nebius's time and resource.
- Scope opportunities with internal experts across engineering, finance, legal, and compliance - synthesising their input into a clear commercial picture.
- Lead commercial conversations on deal economics: structure, returns, milestones, and terms. You do not build the financial model, but you drive the conversation and hold your own when the numbers are challenged.
- Hand qualified, scoped opportunities to the delivery team with enough context for them to move immediately. Maintain visibility on the overall pipeline and report clearly on status.
- Represent Nebius credibly at C-level — with founders, CEOs, CFOs, and investment decision-makers across multiple geographies. You will be the face of this programme externally.
- Triage inbound interest and route opportunities that fall outside the programme's scope to the right owner.
What we're looking for
- A track record of building real relationships with institutional capital allocators and converting them into commercial outcomes - not general networking, but deals or partnerships that actually closed.
- An entrepreneurial background. You have started something, built something, or operated in genuinely early environments where you had to create the path rather than follow one. Ambiguity does not slow you down.
- Financial fluency sufficient to hold your own in deal conversations - IRR, returns, capex, gross vs. net economics. You do not need to build models, but you must be able to interrogate them and spot when something does not add up.
- Enough familiarity with data centre infrastructure - compute, power, cooling, deployment - to have credible conversations with both engineers and investors. You do not need to be an engineer.
- Proven comfort operating at C-level. You have sat across the table from senior decision-makers and held the room.
- Strong commercial judgement: you understand how large infrastructure deals are structured, how capital decisions get made, and what separates a real opportunity from one that will not close.
- Discipline with what you commit to. You state only what is confirmed, flag estimates clearly, and do not over-promise.
- Willingness to travel. This role requires senior presence across multiple geographies.
What you'll join
A small, senior team operating at the intersection of AI infrastructure and institutional capital, with direct access to Nebius's senior leadership. The programme is active and growing. You will be shaping the origination motion at an early and consequential moment, with real opportunity to build a team as the pipeline scales.
